CIS is a company that offers technical solutions to help businesses increase their productivity and decrease their costs. CIS firmly believes that each solution that is provided must solve a problem a customer is currently experiencing or to increase the efficiency at which that company is currently operating.

Since its conception in 2002, CIS has grown at an exponential rate in relation to not only their success, but also with the amount of solutions that are provided to customers. A common misconception about CIS is that we are just a “computer store” or a place to call when you are experiencing computer problems. CIS has an umbrella of solutions that fall into 4 categories: Information Technology (IT), Data Security, Physical Security, and Audio Visual. In the Information Technology division, CIS partners with companies to enhance their IT infrastructure so they may operate more efficiently and effectively. In addition to improving companies IT situation, CIS designs disaster plans to prevent major technological mishaps and provides a solution that if a company’s physical site is ever destroyed, their critical data will be safe and they have something to rely on when they decide to reopen instead of losing crucial assets during the disaster.

CIS’ Data Security solutions division provides companies with the security and confidence that both their own information and their clients’ confidential information will remain safe. Providing a mix of firewalls and other security applications for a company will safe guard important information, keep their public image in good standing, and protect them from any legal problems that could arise from a client suffering identity theft or other damages that occurred from that company losing confidential information. Linda Madden, the Community Health Nursing Supervisor at the Clay County Health Department stated, “CIS didn’t try to talk us into any ‘extras’ which we felt we didn’t need. They were always willing to go into detail, explain features and to leave the final decision up to us. They were also very patient and polite when answering questions/addressing issues.”

The Physical Security division gives protection to both a company’s tangible assets, such as their products, and their intangible assets, like employees’ and customers’ life. CIS has developed many security solutions for not only different types of companies, but also for our greatest resource, our children while they are at school. After CIS designed, developed, and implemented the security systems at Alice Lloyd College, Matthew Stewart, the Director of Technology, said, “It makes me feel good to bring parents to our school and show them how well their children are being protected. CIS’ Audio Visual division has proven itself to be extremely useful to a number of companies in a variety of industries. It allows companies to eliminate wasteful printing costs trying to inform customers and employees while at the same time to see profits increasing from advertising other local businesses. Also, their solutions give companies the ability to immediately alert people that an emergency is upcoming or taking place with exact instructions of the best way to remain safe.
